Art Events

I've been looking at art events to do. There are art walks including examples like Wallingford Art Walk, Downtown Bellingham Art Walk, Arti Gras Art Fair and the Main Street Arts Festival here in Fort Worth.

I've also been researching an East Coast Canoe and Kayak Festival and Ballet posters.

One art event that I really like is the Renegade Craft Fair. It travels around the country yearly including places like Chicago, San Francisco, and London.

Researching

I've been doing a lot of research on different styles of posters throughout the break. I've been looking at different styles of posters including typographic posters, image posters, and some that include both. The posters with a lot of texture really catch my eye. Also, I like ones that use a lot of geometric shapes. Here are a few of the styles I consider looking further into...

I haven’t decided which direction to pursue yet regarding our assignment, but I’m excited to start the research process. This project will definitely push me out of my comfort zone because I haven’t had a lot of experience working with posters or these styles. Bring it!
